OUR TEAM, OUR MISSION, OUR VISION
God called Pastor Gary home to Glory on May 16, 2023. He’d faithfully served Blessed Hope for more than twenty years, eighteen years of that as the Senior Pastor. His legacy is important to note for all he touched with his faith in, and commitment to, Jesus.
Once a Marine, always a Marine, as they say, and Gary was true to his training. He was forever running towards a problem that needed solving, not away from it. He often called Blessed Hope a battlefield hospital for those fighting for their lives just in daily living. Jesus bestowed the gift of faith within Gary in a big way. His God was always able. He might have failed, but His God was faithful. Many times he’d tell people, “Don’t worry about being good enough. We’re all ‘the least of these.’ Jesus has a plan and purpose for you!” Lives change when God gets hold of them. May we be so used by God that our legacy will be as rich.
"That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe." 1 Timothy 4:10, NIV.
Pastor Crystal shares co-pastoring responsibilities with Pastor Patti. Administration and outreach are two of her strengths. "Preaching, teaching and one on one conversations are the ways I most enjoy sharing Jesus. Being His hands and feet in service, however, is oftentimes more effective than words."
Pastor Patti Flanigan co-pastors with Pastor Crystal. Her giftings are evident in her preaching and being a prayer warrior. Other skills include teaching and facilitating groups. "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:1-2)

Christ is making us into "a people that are His very own…" (Titus 2:14) This continues to motivate the work begun to the glory of God over 20 years ago.
Love is still our mandate as Blessed Hope is called to be and be known as a place where…
- God's Truth is always preached.
- People can come for food, both for the body and the soul.
- People can come to be loved.
- People can come and meet Jesus.
As needs increase and supplies decrease, the world will grow darker and hope will be harder to come by. We will follow Him into this darkness with the light of Christ and the truth of Isaiah 61:1-3:. Our God is NOT through with redemption! He calls us to continue in the fields! As we truly serve and love others sacrificially, under HIS authority and power, “the Light will shine in the darkness and the darkness will NOT overcome it.” (John 1) As we seek HIS face, He will clearly guide and provide. May we be obedient to His call.
